The Administration Division of the Public Works Department oversees the management effort and coordination of the Capital Improvement Program, Assessment District Maintenance, Transit Operations, Grant Administration, and the following Divisions of Public Works: 

  1. Water Quality Control 
  2. Fleet Maintenance 
  3. Public Facilities Maintenance 
  4. Engineering Services 
  5. Parks & Recreation 

The operations, maintenance and administration of these programs are funded by multiple sources, including a part of the General Fund, most portions of the Special Revenue Funds, all Enterprise Funds, half of Internal Services Fund, capital portions of the Redevelopment Fund, most of the Fiduciary Fund, and most of the Capital Improvement Fund. For fiscal year 2010-2011 the Capital Budget is over $12M and the combined divisions’ operational budgets are over $16M with a total staff of 32 including the Public Works Director.
