Front Street Hotel
This proposed 4-story hotel located on a 2.75-acre downtown city block is bounded by Front Street, Monterey Street, West Street and Benito Street (currently the Soledad Motor Lodge). The project includes 146 hotel rooms with kitchenette and bath, a lobby, two conference rooms, a 5,265 square foot restaurant and 5,276 square feet of retail space. The project is expected to be reviewed by the City’s Planning Commission in November 2010 and considered by the City Council in December 2010 and January 2011.

Miravale III Specific Plan (Part 1 / Part 2)
The Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) evaluates the significant environmental impacts of the Miravale III Specific Plan and related preliminary vesting tentative map proposed for an approximately 920 acre area located between San Vicente Road and Orchard Lane, north and west of the current City limits. The Specific Plan includes approximately 1,470 single-family residential units, 2,230 multi-family residential units, 500 senior housing units, 120 hotel rooms, 250,000 square feet of retail commercial space, and an 18-hole golf course. The project also proposes three school sites, a fire and police substation, and approximately 255 acres of open space and recreation areas. The Final EIR provides information and analyses by identifying the significant adverse environmental effects of the project, identifying possible ways to reduce or minimize those effects, and providing a range of reasonable alternatives that may also avoid or reduce the adverse effects of the proposed project.   Want more information?  Please read our October 2010 Status Update.

Soledad Plaza Shopping Center
A completed but not yet certified Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for a 46-acre (415,000 building square feet) commercial retail center at the north end of the City evaluates the impacts of this proposed development.  Although this project recently changed ownership and is in transition due to the economy; the development concept remains an assumption in planning for the Downtown area, both in terms of economics, connectivity and identity.

Soledad Wind Energy Generation Project  - Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration

Project Title: Soledad Wind Energy Generation Project
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Soledad is considering approval of the above referenced action and adoption of a Negative Declaration in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (Government Code Section 21000-21178). The action, if approved, would allow for construction and operation of a 340 foot high single wind energy turbine for the purpose of offsetting electricity usage required by the water reclamation facility operations.
