Recycling Information
The City of Soledad encourages our residents to get involved in recycling.  All recycling programs available to Soledad residents are provided by the Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority.  In addition to the recycling bins provided to all utility customers, there are many free and some paid programs to collect items that can be recycled.  Additional information can also be found at Tri-Cities Disposal & Recycling Service, Inc.

Do you know what you can recycle as a part of your normal garbage services?

Do you know that state law (AB 341, Stats 2011) requires that businesses and multifamily complexes participate in Recycling Programs?
California State Law AB341 (2011) requires commercial entities that generate four or more cubic yards of waste per week and all multi-family complexes of five or more units to implement recycling programs. Blue cart and cardboard recycling are included in the price of your commercial service.  Tri-Cities Disposal & Recycling service has recycling and waste diversion experts on staff who will be happy to assist your business or apartment complex with implementing a recycling program.  For more information on AB341 please refer to the Salinas Valley Recycles AB341 Brochure or you can visit the Salinas Valley Recycles website or CalRecycle website. 

Did you know that as of April 1, 2016 California State Law AB1826 (2014) will require that commercial businesses to recycle their organic waste?
State Law AB1826 (2014) will require that commercial businesses recycle their organic waste on and after April 1, 2016 depending on the amount of waste they generate per week. For more information on AB1826 please visit the CalRecycle website.    

Did you know that you can request a free Used Motor Oil and Filter Bag to put out with your normal garbage services?
Get a free used oil container and filter bag by calling Tri-Cities at (888) 678-6798 or pick them up at a participating used motor oil collection centers. Did you know that there are programs to recycle appliances, batteries, e-waste, and even cooking oil?
